At age forty-one I am just getting my writing career off of the ground. I majored in Creative Writing in college but never focused on it as a career. After I had kids I quit my "normal" job to focus on them and get back to writing. I write fiction and poetry and have had moderate success in publishing with small literary journals and poetry contests. I'm hoping that joining here will help fine-tune my writing and I'm looking forward to reading the writers in this group. I feel that reading all different types of writing does nothing but help one's own writing.
