Greetings everyone! I am a resident writer, poet, and jack-of-some-trades. My favorite anime series are (in order): Gundam Wing, Sailor Moon, and Rourouni Kenshin. I consider myself somewhat of an older-school anime fan.
My picture is me dressed up as a Resident Evil character for a Halloween party back in 2007. I was supposed to be an Umbrella agent named HUNK (minus the gas mask), but a few elements were missing. Anyway, I have been a Resident Evil fan since 2002. I figured I would post the image so people can put a face to a name.
My two favorite anime series were the first I ever saw, so one can consider them my "gateway" series: Gundam Wing and Sailor Moon. They were my portal into the world of anime, and despite the other series I have watched they remain my steady favorites. Gundam Wing provides the action I desire so much in my own life. Sailor Moon provides girls (I'm a guy after all) as well as ideas for my stories.
I also like to read about history, especially World War Two. I feel no conflict combines so many human emotions and ambitions as does the Second World War. Hatred, pride, revenge, justice, and a host of leaders make for a tragic but quite interesting subject to study. European History is another subject I like because Europe has been in existence far longer than America and has played host to many more historic events. Other hobbies I pursue include: playing video games, collecting manga, collecting diecast model jet fighters and thinking of story/poem ideas.
I am also branching out into other stories and occasional poems that involve ideas important to me. My writing philosophy is best described as "quality over quantity" because my parents taught me to put more effort into a few things then a little effort into many things. Thus my output may not match other authors, but I intend for each work to be well-written and will pace my production accordingly. I wish to establish a reputation for superb works on a variety of topics.
Three people I would like to thank are Leigh G., Mehrina B., and Samantha Hackel-Butt. These people have welcomed me to the site, given me a few tips on rules, and have given me story ideas and feedback. Without their help I probably wouldn't have made it this far as a writer on PnP!
Contrary to popular belief, I am still alive... I am just in the middle of a couple of grad school papers, two 20-page leviathans that keep sucker-punching me and stealing my time. When they are completed, I will return to the fray as a writer. Until that time, please bear with me.
