Hello!
I am Irina. I and my son Alexander live in Tyumen, Russia.
I have come to PnP in August, 2002. My first poems written in English were very weak. And now each line is given to me hard because my native language is Russian. In my country and in city where I live, in houses, in streets, at offices the people speak Russian. Foreigners are rare visitors here.
Author of two poetical books in Russian language. I have risked writing in English. Why? A difficult question.... The Internal need for it ripened gradually. One of the reasons is a desire to share the thoughts and feelings with people which live far from me, never were in my country. My friends from America, Sweden, Canada, Germany (and so on) have received my books, but can not read it because do not know my native Russian.
The main impulse is the event which made a great change in my life and my heart. It is very personal; therefore I'll keep silent about it. Probably, you have guessed.
So, I am here. And I am happy, because I have met many fine poets and amazing friends. Dear Candy Clontz, Janet Owenby, Lyle Berry, Walter Jones, Moses Hochstetler, Gregory Christiano, Robert , Denise-anette Langner-urso, Aaron Schmookler, Betty Eskdale, and many others! All of you not only read my poems, but also help me. The help is always such delicate, unostentatious. The help of true friends. Thank all of you for your kind heart and keen poetic feelings. You can not imagine how I am happy to read all poems and stories of each of you! I am happy to meet many young poets and writers here. Christopher D. is one from all of them. I love his writing very much.

Probably, you will find some mistakes in my poems. Do not hesitate, speak me about it! You know, I write by my heart. I know, you read by your heart. We are very different people, but Heart and Poetry unite us.
I am sure, we will always be friends. We will be sharing sad and sunny days, a beauty of a soul and a word, as well.
I love all of you!
