Rabbits make wonderful pets but children should only have one if they are mature and the parents will accept ultimate responsibility. Many shelters require that an adult agree to be responsible for the rabbit. Most rabbits are not fond of being held. They are ground animals and heights frighten them. Children can be taught not to carry bunny around and understand that rabbits need a calm atmosphere. |
