Groovy Baby
by Eugenia Buskova (Age: 19)
copyright 12-24-2003

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Cool chick
Groovy baby,
Lipstick
Colour crazy!
Hot pink
Bright green
Go girl
You gotta be seen!
Lip gloss
Eyeliner,
Not that much
just little bit finer.
More blush
On the upper cheek,
But don't use too much
Gotta last all week
Oh, the stress!
High heels
Nails polished,
Short skirt
Trackies? Demolished!
Talking too long,
On the mobile phone
Yes, of course,
I was calling home
Cool chick
Groovy baby,
Impress the crowd?
Never and maybe!

I really, really like this poem. You go, girl!

My only suggestion would be to consider changing line 12 to 'just a bit finer' to achieve an even smoother rhythm.

It nice to see that Australians, like Canadians (myself included) know how to spell colour. LOL

I understand that it was dictionary writer Samuel Johnson who plumped for such spellings to help English speakers and writers remember that many of their words were derived from French.

Great job this is really good. It reads very smooth and with good pace. I'm glad I read it! thanks, Anthony

This clips along at a great pace and says everything it needs to say. Well done!

I like this, and it's cool the way you gave it a fast pace.
