(Tanka)

Polite “I regret”
slid down your impassive lips

The expression that you put into your poetry is marvelous, Irina. Perhaps, in part, it is the translation from your wonderful Russian lanaguage (which I studied in school for three years), but I think it is more. I think you have a gift that you can express yourself this way and I enjoy the fact that you share this gift with us very much. I miss your smiling picture. Have you decided to become icognito to the Internet, or will you surprise us with a new picture?

Warm Regards,
Lyle
