Adam's Debacle

Young Adam did live in the garden of Eden,
He must have been happy in there;
Reclining for hours 'neath heavenly flowers
And gathering fruit everywhere.

The Lord gave to Adam young Eve with her beauty,
Who captured his heart with a smile;
With hugs and with kisses, such marital blisses -
Abundantly rich and worthwhile!

Together they lived in the garden of Eden,
It must have been beautiful there;
The grass a bit greener, and Eve, if you'd seen her,
Would quite leave you gasping for air!

Such radiant beauty, such charm and charisma!
Her hair blowing wild in the breeze!
Sweet orchids and honey! It's really quite funny
How men can be won with such ease!

But all was not well in the garden of Eden,
For Eve soon gave heed to the snake;
And she, being baited, was quickly persuaded,
Not knowing her life was at stake!

But Adam, poor Adam! Gave in to her wiles,
And taking the fruit from her hand;
Disarmed by her greeting, took pleasure in eating,
Right there in that beauteous land!

So God drove them out of the garden of Eden,
And left the whole world to grieve;
And Adam, as all men do blame it on women,
Did blame the debacle on Eve!
