The Weight
by Kishana Bari
copyright 07-01-2003

Age Rating: 13 to 127

From my heart a weight has been lifted.
Then another one in it's place shifted
To a place in my mind so deserted and cold.
A place that even I dare not go.
The weight just hung so silent and true.
In it, I saw a reflection shining through.
At first it was blurred and hard to see.
then I focused more and the reflection was me!
My own reflection..... so alone.
This here weight, is my own.
I came to find out what's really true.
This place in my mind, deserted because of you.
Was once happy to let you go.
The consequence, I did not know.
Now you exist in the deserted cold.
In the past, the weight hangs low.

I like this poem though a little work would make this better, Anthony

it's basically good, but keep working. when you strive for something it comes easier. i lost it a bit. focus a bit more, it will be much clearer. otherwise excellent
