The afternoon sun is gently fading
The afternoon sun is gently fading
Fireball lips taste the ocean’s salty brine
Fireball lips taste the ocean’s salty brine
Salty lips taste the ocean’s fireball sun
Fading gently is the afternoon brine
The glowing moon is rising in the sky
The glowing moon is rising in the sky
She sparkles like there’s no tomorrow
She sparkles like there’s no tomorrow
There’s no sky in the tomorrow moon
Like the rising sparkles, she is glowing
Forever stands between the both of them
Forever stands between the both of them
A stretched horizon that does not waiver
A stretched horizon that does not waiver
Forever stretched between the both of them,
A horizon stands that does not waiver
A fireball sun is rising, she does not waiver
Gently stretched is the forever moon
Between tomorrow stands the glowing afternoon
There’s no fading brine in the salty sky
Both of them taste the horizon
That sparkles like the ocean’s lips

Nancy: This is so great! I have never seen this poetry form before, but it is wonderful. I really enjoyed the imagery and metaphorical tone.
Highest marks from this old poet.
Warm Regards,
