I am alone
by Christina Lee (Age: 37)
copyright 06-25-2003

Age Rating: 18 to 127

I am alone,
alone in my fears.
I chase them away,
with only my tears.

I paste on a smile,
as I walk around town.
But alone in my room,
the walls come tumbling down.

When will it all end,
this pain I feel inside.
How do I let it go,
if I have no one to confide?

In every poem fiction or not a part of the poet is involved whether its your emotion you speak of or someone elses, it has somehow left a profound enough effect on your heart to cause you to react
with a flowing pen. You described the feeling of lonliness where it could reach out to the reader and grasp them and to me that is what poetry is about more than form or anything else. Fantastic write Christina in my opinion.

Very sad, Christina and touching too. I only pray that it is just a poem and not rue tfor you.

Warm Regards,
Lyle
