  Happiness
Picture Credits:

From our Birth until Death we are in hot pursuit
and at times it can be so elusive.
When it’s caught - it’s a wonder, when it’s not - then it’s moot;
a sensation that’s never abusive.

It’s a stroll in the sunshine, not a care in the World;
it’s a dance hugging someone that we love.
It’s a frog for a boy – a new doll for a girl;
finding faces and castles in the clouds up above.

The antithesis seeks us, tries to make us its pawn,
as we struggle, nearly caught, in the grasp.
I’m convinced that God listens, while the Devil just yawns;
we should say: “Beelzebub kiss my ass!”

We deserve it, must preserve it, and I’m sure you have guessed
that the theme of this ditty is true happiness.

It's a constant struggle to find moments of happiness. It is so elusive, so hard to maintain. Like you express, we have our peaks and valleys. It will never change until death settles things! Nicely expressed.

With God, true happiness is possible. Isn't that right? And the picture you chose is beautiful! Maybe thats what heaven will look like. 8o)
