An invitation to watch the Reckoning. (Mcleod verses MacLeod)
by John Mcleod
copyright 08-13-2001

Age Rating: 18 to 127

Dear readers, as you are probably aware, Rachel MacLeod has got in first with her opening speech and more or less called me a squater. During her speech she let it be known that my name (Mcleod) is an Irish name. I admit it is, but we have been in Scotland for hundreds of years. I myself was born there and love the country.
At this stage I would like to point out that Rachel is trying to claim the right to call herself the true Highlander. We all know that I am the one and as our war of verses continues, you, the reader, can work out for yourself who should claim the title.
Feel free to comment on the Reckoning articles, and I, and Rachel, hope that you have as much fun reading them as we do in writing them.

So, until the Reckoning............

Wow! I better keep an eye on you two. I hope Bob is up to refereeing, Scots wha hae! just so happens my surname is Scottish, family is from Dumfrieshire. I won't be trying to compete with the likes of you though, my Irish side seems dominant, but my ancestor Lady Jane Gordon holds me enthralled.

Is this the part where I cover my sons eyes whilst I watch in glee? LOL.
