Let 'em Dream

Let 'em Dream

Let 'em dream I say,
Let a young girl dream,
Of becomin' a royal,
Like a princess or queen.
Let the boy in his youth,
Dream of pirates and knights,
Or maybe of hero's,
Bravely winning grand fights.

Let 'em dream I say,
Let the one who's crippled,
Dream of growin' up strong.
And the babe with cancer?
Dream of livin' life long.

To the orphan child,
Let 'em dream of a mom,
Who'll take him in,
And sing lullaby songs.
'Cuz thats much better,
Then what he's got now.
And I'll bet when he,
Lowers his head to bow,
He's prayin' for a papa too.

To the one in Iraq,
Let 'em dream of better days,
When the moon will gleam,
Without wars smoky haze.

Let 'em dream I say,
Let 'em dream...

All children should have dreams, and we should always encourage them. I liked it a lot.
