"November" in this poem is a metaphor for that monthly occurence every woman has to face, and every married man has to face with her.
*************************
November is a bad month,
Many Couples know;
Sun is seldom shining -
Hope to die.
Crescendos of a snow cloud
Threatening the air;
Winter winds howling -
Caustic cry.
Disturbing as a pick axe
Shattering the ice;
Walking on egg shells -
Much too quick.
November's not a good time
For the bride and groom;
Candle wax smoldering -
Snuff the wick.
The period of the blustery
Agonizing mood;
Teary-eyed, euphoric -
Hard to guess.
She damns you if you do it,
Damns you if you don't;
Careful how you say it -
PMS.
