Weep For the Child
by Moses Hochstetler (Age: 60)
copyright 07-02-2003

Age Rating: 7 to 127

If you want a real challenge, try writing a poem where both ends of the lines rhyme! This one was several years "on the burner" before I was finally satisfied!
*****************************************************

Fare for the child who is lost and forlorn,
Reach for the child with heart strings torn,
Care for the child when fever is fought,
Teach the child who's never been taught,
Speak for the child who is deaf and dumb,
Lend to the child who is cold and numb,
Seek for the child who sleeps in the rain,
Tend to the child who suffers in pain,
Stay for the child who love never had,
Reap for the child who is hungry and sad,
Pray for the child who is treated with scorn,
Weep for the child, yes weep and mourn;
Weep for the child who will never be born.

Good Job Moses

This is perfection and on a subject that, to me, is the most important we face in this next decade. The unborn do have rights as you so poignantly describe. The tragedy is that so many unborn will never experience those things of life.
Warmest regards,
Gregory
