This poem is totally "out of character" and "not my style" but I wanted to do something a little different
******************************************************
Poems? I wrote a poem once,
About a bird that couldn't fly.
It was sick
(the bird, that is)
And the girl next door
That loved me so
(or so she said)
And left me sitting
All alone beneath the pines
(I almost died!)
I didn't write it
Very well at all
(my mother said)
It didn't rhyme
Or make much sense
(to anyone but me)
And someone thought
The girl was sick
(I wish she was)
But that's not what
I meant at all
(and that's too bad!)
And someone thought
The bird was s*itting
On my head
(Beneath the pines.)
I couldn't write
Or spell that well
(I wonder why?)
So I was told
"Quit writing poems."

that was a funny, sad, and goofy poem. I've never read one written like that before. Good job! (Plus 50 pionts for being original on how it was written)
