Age Rating: 18 to 127

Short takes:

Scene 1: Two young boys outside sitting on a porch.

“What’s your new daddy’s name?”

“Sam.”

“You sound like you don’t like him.”

“I don’t.”

“Why?”

“My mommy doesn’t have time for me. She’s always with him.”

**************************************
Scene 2: Mother of one of the young boys sitting on the curve and her best friend

“Girlfriend. I am in love. You hear me. In Love. Total Pure Love.”

“That’s what you said last time.”

“This is different.”

“Why?”

“For the last two weeks we have spent every moment we can together.”

“That’s nothing new for you. What is so different about him?”

“Oh girl. You are just tripping. You need to go out and get you a man like mine.”

“Oh pleasssee. Spare me that.”

**************************************
Scene 3: Man, the mother is dating.

“Man. I got to dump this chick I’m seeing.”

“Why?”

“She is suffocating me to death!”

“Word.”

Very perceptive, we all have our own point of view, don't we?

Hi Celeste! Nice to meet you. That scenario sounds right on. The different points of view were really interesting to read. Thanks for dropping by and reading my challenge. I look forward to "Getting to Know you", too. Bunny

This is often true. Single parents start dating again, and forget about their kids, who really care. And often the person they are dating, isn't really interested in them.
