Crucified for the mistake of Plagerisam
by Sharon B.
copyright 08-14-2001

Age Rating: 18 to 127

"That was an aweful mistake, I made many many years ago.
And I did not understand the "p" word at the time I wrote the copy. for which I have got down on my cyber knees and said I am sorry until I am blue in the face...but Connie insist on condemning me forever I see."

Plagerisam

You, me, us,...We are all the same my dear,
we read the work of great men and women of yester-year.

We sometimes borrow their words and repeat their thoughts for school work, and even health.
But does that mean we have to be branded with the "P" word and tortured to death!

Can we not forgive one simple mistakes of the copycat jesture make?
Are we so mean and hateful, the very soul and pride of a person we feel we have to take?

Does not life and the spirit of a man mean far more than our simple forgiveness?
Or is back stabing the perpetrator the worlds way of making themselves feel large and blist?

Have you never done anything for which you feel great remorse and shame?
Should we continue to crucify you for it, and always for the rest of your life, put your name to blame.

Will all this continual hatred and mind killing save us in the end of time.
Will the price of being kind and understanding the mistakes of others cost you much, not even a dime.

Each time you walk into a crowded room , should you be forced to remember you made a terrible mistake and you have to fall?
And on the last day of life will that be what you are condemned for, will it be remembered by God at all?

Or will what he remembers most about you be the kind things that you said.
The many times you slept on the floor of your own house and gave a homeless person your bed.

Will he see you in the light of love or the light of mistaken ways.
Can you forgive the wrongs of another, and allow them to dwell in peace for the rest of their days.

Put yourself in the shoes of the misguided one, who so badly missed his mark,
Would you want people to eventually parden your errors or like a dog, everytime you walk in the room, continue to bark!

Sharon, I agree with Sunny, get on with writing great poetry and put this behind you.

I see three comments so far and all three say that Sharon should stay, so she will for the moment. This site is basically member-run and member-driven. I will send an email to all full members and call for a vote. Let them decide.

A lie is a lie, but even God forgives the worst of sins... who am I? Not even in a judges seat, that's for sure!
