As the thunder roars
and the lighting blasts
As the wind blows violently
as the trees sway
As the rain falls down to earth drop after drop
as the hail falls in many different sizes
I am sitting here wondering where you are.
As you drive up the driveway I run out to you
I embrace you saying thank goodness you are alive Through all the wind and rain I smell someone elses perfume
I back away crying saying how could you.
I run back inside and lock the door while
in my heart
the thunder roars
the lightning blasts
the wind blows violently
the trees sway
the rain falls down to earth drop after drop
the hail falls in many different sizes

Wonderful writing Toni...the only suggestion I would suggest, would be a climatic ending, somehow which included something such as, even though you sensed the perfume, you still stood firm on your love, despite the heartache,,,,just a thought.....Barry
