Darkness
by April S. (Age: 17)
copyright 07-15-2003

Age Rating: 10 to 127

What is darkness?
Is it the feeling we get when we're alone?
Is it a feeling that comes when you are sad?
Does it come when a loved one dies?
Do we really feel the darkness coming or is it just a saying?
Will we always have feelings like this?
Even when we're gone?
Will that be the end of our feelings or will they continue into the next?

Loses LOL not looses

07-15-2003 Janet Owenby

Deep thoughts April. Great questions. I do not think any of has the answer for them all. Darkness
is often used to describe the feeling of pain
especially in poetry. To me it is the overwhelming feeling when pain takes over. Like
a pond on a cloudy night looses the light that makes it glimmer. Your heart loses the happiness. To each poet that is a different feeling. As for the the after-life, I was brought up to believe there is no pain or darkness there. I certianly hope this is true, because it gives me solace when I lose someone I love. But again after-life is viewed differently in each person's mind and heart.
