Feather Wings
by Adela Ruiz (Age: 21)
copyright 08-04-2003

Age Rating: 1 to 127

There were those feathers trailing down
All the way onto the ground

Flapping among the the starry sky
such elegance could make you cry

horn atop a beautiful head
and melody with nothing said

her feathers ruffle as she lands
no more than an inch on a child's hands

Her presence is a grace this morn
sweet and shy unicorn

small and proud
without a crowd

she vanishes like a star
a glittery presence from afar

Seven rhyming couplets. an intriguing mystery and a beautiful revelation of a unicorn.

This write had a far away enchantment about it, an old world flavor. the rhyming couplets were satisfying making the reader yearn for more.

A pleasant illusion from childhood. Welcomed in a time of way and financial upheaval. A pleasant diversion.
