The Lesson The Angel Taught Me
by April S. (Age: 17)
copyright 10-10-2003

Age Rating: 10 to 127

I was born with my heart on my sleeve;
I would pray and wish and always dream.
But one day, I gave that boy my heart;
He tore and smashed and killed it all.

He was the one that showed me
there is nothing in life, but pain and torture.
But when you’re as young as I am,
you always believe.
He showed me that life is not
what others make it seem;
he taught me not to dream, or wish, or pray.

But then one day, an angel came, took my hand
and showed me all things that he had taken away.
Now, that angel walks with me
and guides me down the right path.
I smile without a fear and have forgotten the past.

this is a way-awesome poem. I found my angel after a few demons, too. I wish everybody looked for angels instead of staying with demons and hoping it works out. life can always be so much better than it is...
