I feel it every time you look at me,
Your eyes burning into my soul,
A quick glance is all I see,
But inside I can feel your apathy,
Tell me why you don’t care anymore,
I sometimes wonder if you cared at all before,
I hate the way you look at me,
‘Cause inside I can feel your apathy,
Can’t you see how you’ve burned me?
I can feel my soul burning up inside,
Can’t you see how you’ve treated me?
Can’t you feel it inside, your flaming apathy?
How was I to know you didn’t love me anymore?
How was I to know you never felt it at all before?
Why do I waste away inside of me?
When all I ever felt was your apathy,
I wasted away because of you,
I hurt so bad because of myself,
My foolish pride deep inside,
I’ll never forget how it must have felt.
To let me go because of your apathy.
