A Story
by Carmen H.
copyright 11-24-2003

Age Rating: 7 to 15

Once upon a time, there lived a girl named Sarah. She had brown hair, blue eyes, tan skin, and was 10 years old. She lived with her mother and father, in San Diego.
Today,Monday, June 7,2003, Sarah had piano auditions for Elliots School. She always wanted to play piano for her school. She practiced hard every day. " Keep it up!!" her mom always told her.
As she practiced and practiced, she got better and better at it. She didnt even need a piano teacher! Her dad got her some basic books, and taught her a little bit. " You'll do graet," her dad kept telling her.
Sarah was standing in line..waiting for her turn. She was really nervous. I voice in her head kept reminding her," NEVER GIVE UP!" She heard someone play a song perfectly. She thought she would never make it. Finally it was her turn.
She walked toward the piano, a nice antique, took a big breath, and began playing a song call 'Sunburst Walts' she enjoyed most. She still was still nervous.
Sarah remembered to think positive." Think positive, and you'll do fine!" Her grandma told her on the phone last night.
Think positive...never give up....she kept remindig herself.
Finally her song was over. Someone came up to her and said," Great job!!! You made it!!!!"

Sarah was happy. You will too, if you never give up, and keep positive thoughts in your head!

The End

Why thank-you for telling me that!
You made me more confident in myself.
I always think negative thoughts(I'ma pessimest), but after reading your story, i started to see the positive side of things.
You need to have a space after every period, exclamation point, coma, you know.
And when someone says something, start a new paragraph and capatilize the first word.
Don't give up in yourself, ever.
And keep up the good work.
