I’ve seen that Love’s a fragile thing
Not always there with wedding rings
One and one’s not always two
But it takes two to make it thru

Each must care and give their all
See that pride comes ‘fore the fall
And there’s no real guarantee
But if you were here with me

I ‘d be elated
We’d celebrate it
If I could just feel your heart on mine
Sip your sweetness like spring wine
I’d be elated
Don’t under rate it
Everything would be so right
We’d make it last all thru the night
Love unabated
I’d be elated

I guess that every love’s a trial
Sometimes lasts only a mile
But it would truly make me smile
If you’d just lay here for awhile

I ‘d be elated
We’d celebrate it
If I could just feel your heart on mine
Sip your sweetness like spring wine
I’d be elated
Don’t under rate it
Everything would be so fine
We’d make it last till the end of time
Love unabated
We’d be elated

We‘d be elated
We’d celebrate it
If you could just feel your heart on mine
Come girl be my Valentine
You’d be elated
Don’t under rate it
Everything would be so fine
We’d make it last till the end of time
Love unabated________________!
We’d be elated

Lyle, poem or song does not change the fact that this is excellent. I read it as a poem and loved it, then read it as a song and loved it even more.

Great piece of writing.

Thoughts of spooning are dancing in my head,
With visions much more pleasant and splendid;
Ignoring love's not always forever,
I easily forget mine has ended...
