It’s Evening! And you don’t love me like you did when Dawn was breaking
It’s Evening! And you can’t feel the things you felt when love was taking
Could it be, that you no longer care for me?
That smirk upon your lips hints you are laughing
Up your sleeve___________
It’s Evening! And I remember when it had a special meaning
It’s Evening! Now I hunger for your body not your being
Could it be that you no longer care for me?
That twinkling in your eyes tells me you’re laughing
Up your sleeve_____________
Moonlight still glows the way it did back then
Stars still twinkle in the sky
But the passion’s gone - I can’t remember when
Or why_________________________________!
It’s Evening! And all the lies we told each other are now funny
It’s Evening! And you’re not aching for my touch now, are you Honey?
Could it be that you no longer care for me?
That twist in your sweet smile says you are laughing
Up your sleeve______________
Moonlight still glows the way it did back then
Stars still twinkle in the sky
But the passion’s gone - I can’t remember when
Or why_________________________________!
It’s Evening!
It’s Evening!
It’s Evening! My undoing!
It’s Evening!

Love fades because we let it! If you want love to stick around you have to entertain it! We let our feelings fade because we don't express it to the ones we love enough. Great write Lyle. Thanks, Anthony
From the morning when the passion dawns to the late evenining when the passion fades. All I can say is that's a few hours in between to enjoy, make the best of it! WE do not get guarantees anything will last in life. Just treasure the blessed moments no matter how short.
The passion goes away… when and why? The hunger for the body not the being… when and why?
Many of us have somebody who is laughing up ones’ sleeve.
I could join in with your song, Lyle. I love it.
