Carousel
Two, three, four and now five
I heard the auctioneer say.
This will affect our lives.
What are we selling today?
Opportunity, learning, a new start,
Perhaps self-gratification,
The beginning of a dream
That will cause much elation.
I have been in places
That said much the same.
Pleasure comes then erases.
I really don’t know who to blame.
With love we write
And anxiously submit.
Down deep inside
We think this is it.
Two, three, four and now five
What is the fate of what we send?
I’m addicted and I must try.
Grab the brass rail and go ‘round again.
