Brandy Eyes
by Andrea Jeanette DiGiantomasso (Age: 22)
copyright 09-22-2003
Contest Winner

Age Rating: 13 to 127

My dearest Brandy eyes,
I watched you live your days
Watching both those brandy eyes
Turn inky black in shade.

I noticed every detail
About the way you were
Until I knew I loved you
Until I was very sure.

This is no surprise to you
I hear you already know
All my friends and family
Knew to tell you so.

At first I was embarrassed
About the way I act
But looking back on those brandy eyes
I wouldn't take it back.

It's been two months now
Since that village by the sea
Since you closed those brandy eyes
And muttered a "good bye" to me.
