Jenny Joseph, so I'm told
Will wear red and purple when she grows old
But, that isn't the end of it ~
She's going to swear, and even spit!
Also eat pork sausages by the ton
~ it really doesn't sound much fun!
Purple's already my favourite colour
So wearing that's no sign of valour
To be disgraceful is Jenny's aim
But my motivation is not the same
UNEXPECTEDNESS makes more sense to me ~
Don't want my friends acting complacently!
Written on my 72nd birthday morning and dedicated to my friend EDDIE BRUCE who delighted me with an autographed copy of his short stories ~ A DRIFTER'S LEGACY ~ an unexpected and welcome gift. D
