Very nice. I enjoyed this poem. It's a beautiful arrangement. Besides. I've always been rather fond of Haiku's. Somethign about them always flowed just right. Great job.
Victoria: In this instance, I meant to use the word "willing" as "wilting" sounds too morbid and depressing, since I made the peony petals synonomous with her love, which she willingly, with "pleasure," gives to me.
Yes again, Moses, your talent leaves me stunned. I found everything almost immaculate except in the last stanza you say "willing" instead of "wilting". Everything else is absolutely perfect. I liked this style too, you should write more like it.
Moses: You picked one of the most beautiful flowers on earth to write about. The Peony is the Queen of the Garden Flowers. I also like the rich history behind it - dating back over 4,000 years! The Chinese and Japanese favor these flowers above all. Wasn't there a Trojan legend about the power of the Peony to cure wounds? Anyway, this is a great poem. Thanks for sharing.
Warm regards,
Gregory
