The elders were wise, not simply because they had led a long life, but because they knew the inner secrets. They understood the Wolf trails of the mind and owned their powers and gifts. They experienced many powerful visions.
Nature speaks to us everyday with its rhythms, its energies and its messages. All animals can serve as messengers and aids if you know the right ones to summon. The elders listened carefully to their songs.
This type of guidance is needed today for we are an age that has nearly severed itself from nature and magic.
