butterfly hugs,
newfound blisses,
pudding on rugs.

Bedtime stories,
morning wakes,
needless worries,
chocolate cakes.

Cuts and bruises,
messy rooms,
postpones cruises,
strange kabooms.

Barbie dolls &
hot wheels cars,
scrapes and falls
and wishing stars.

Baby kittens,
puppy eyes,
tiny mittens,
whimpering cries.

Crayon drawings,
a smiling sun...
isn't being
a parent fun?
