Is It Me ~ Or Is It M.e?
by Dawn Staple (Age: 76)
copyright 10-04-2003

Age Rating: 13 to 127

It really is official
Heard on the BBC
The Royal College of Physicians
Has accepted there's M.E.

No longer will its victims be made to feel outcast
The fact we're not malingerers is recognised at last!
The symptoms we have in common is amazing lethargy
And all we may have done is dress and make a cup of tea

The reason we are tired today
Has nowt to do with yesterday
It's what we did o'er the last week or two
Without a diary, you just haven't a clue!

On a lovely day
We may think "Way-Hey!
Reckon I can do more today"
You give it a go, but your skin turns grey
Lie down you must, and lie down you stay
For the medics' ackowledgement we say "Hurray!"
But we'd rather be 'living', not resting all day
