time made me cave into rhyme.
by Jenny Stein (Age: 21)
copyright 08-21-2003

Age Rating: 1 to 127

All the metaphors have been used
and all the good spots have been taken.

What a beginning to
an endless summer day.

my grammar is no good
and my heart is just as well.

The commas all misplaced and
blood is in a dry spell.

Shake me of this want.
I dance to ease desire.
Shape me in your liking.
I’m melting in the fire.

The fire of our youth and
kid like goings on.
I know not of the world
but still I am its pawn.

Our loves are games so lets not fear
the ending of it all,
for when one game ends its not
the ending of them all.

As long as we don’t grow up and
dress in linen suits.

As long as you hang onto me
and I’ll latch onto you.
