When I saw your face today,
My heart did not stand still,
I felt so increadibly complete,
I could have sworn this wasn't real,

It was as if you were a shadow,
That haunts my dreams no more,
I felt alive and free at last,
Independent to the core,

I'm relieved of my sorrow,
My once trapped soul runs free,
I am alive with content,
My sanity did not flee,

What is this place where I am now?
This home of passing grief,
Before you stole my heart away,
And said you were no thief,

I begged for life to take its course,
And to be free of love forever,
Now I see you weren't the one,
Now you aren't so clever,

Free and wild; my world goes on,
No need to settle the score,
I can finally say without a doubt,
That I don't love you anymore.

Love is a strong emotion and so is lust. When the Passion finally dies and you realize the love has gone you are finally free to love wholly again! Good poem! Anthony
