Destiny…
The word itself is hated by many a man. Yet they do not comprehend the intense meaning of it. There was a time when I thought that Destiny was on my side…that Fate was kind to me. But I was wrong…Selene knows I was wrong.
For Fate stole away the man I loved…ripped him from my grasp, sealed him away into the black abyss that many call Death. I always wondered what I did to anger the sisters.
Was it the way I ran my kingdom? Was I too lenient on my people? Or was it because I held the most powerful tool in the galaxy? Yes…that is probably why. To think, that a small jewel could be the cause of all my problems…
But then again it has brought me great happiness. The birth of my daughter Serenity. My bright shining star. She brought me hope when there was nothing to hope for. To think that this small child would one day be Queen of the Stars. My dear Serenity…
I watched her grow up into a beautiful woman. I watched her fall in love with Prince Endymion of Earth. I watched her commit suicide when the love of her life was taken from her…just like me.
Now I see into the present. I see her with her senshi so happy and carefree. A chance for all of them to finally be normal. Thinking, I cannot bring myself to burden her with the responsibility of being Queen.
I know what I must do…
