Music Without Words
by Riley M. (Age: 16)
copyright 09-12-2003

Age Rating: 1 to 127

There's a kind of music, inside my head,
A music without speach.
You may have heard it sometime before,
Listen, and it's within your reach.

You can't explain the mysterious wonder,
That comes from listening idolly,
To the wordless music inside your head,
Be still for a moment, listen quietly.

At first you make think it's nonsense,
And turn your back in dismay,
But listen for only a moment more,
As the music begins to play.

It's your thoughts and memories humming within,
Hear it vibrating a tranquil tune.
Fall back into it's savory pleasure,
Forget all wrong, pain, and ruin.

hey,

I really liked this poem. I love music, and its good to know I'm not the only one who has some form of music playing constantly in my mind. Good job. 4 stars

I often wondered if it was just me who heard the music, glad to know that I am not alone. I think this is an excellent poem. Keep them coming.
