The fledgling sprig might yield a giant forest,
As a simple thought, becomes a lifelong dream.
Simply one life, might make all the difference,
As a slow trickle, turns into a stream.
Our hope might just be someones lifeline,
As a distant star guides a lost ship out at sea.
The most precious moments in so short a lifetime,
Might really be the ones, yet taken for free.
One small step might begin a long journey,
If we don't give up when the pace becomes slow.
Success and joy, just may follow,
What we once thought, was the final blow.
We might sink endlessly so far way down,
In that lonely and bottomless pit.
Only to discover, when we hit the bottom,
There is a sold rock, there, under it.
May we learn to forge on with the battle,
And at the times when hardest hit,
Know obedience is superior to suffering,
And victory , to merely never quit.
