Bad Billy
by Moses Hochstetler (Age: 59)
copyright 08-31-2003

Age Rating: 18 to 127

Billy sits inside his house,
Afraid to talk, afraid to play,
Afraid of this and every day;
Afraid of what his dad might do
If he should dare to disobey.

Billy wishes he were good;
He tries to be, but he is bad.
He's always and forever bad.
Why else would he be so despised
And bruised and battered by his dad?

All childs's terrors are here. You show a great problem of many children. This problem is for all adults to decide what we have to do.

Wow. This is heart-wrenching. I love the way you've conveyed the meaning in so few words.

Child abuse, clear and simple. Too much of it goes on today, verbally and physically. Important subject to bring to everyone's attention.
