SPEAKER ONE:

I love to walk at twilight,
When sunset nobly dies.
With parting splendor there to see,
To lighten up the skies!

SPEAKER TWO:

Deep dim as evening looms,
I love that hour- before the darkness looms,
Where heaven promises a life,
And spirits rise from their tombs!

SPEAKER THREE:

I love the hour of darkness,
When I give myself up to sleep;
I think of holy Angels come,
Their watch around me keep!

SPEAKER FOUR:

I love that hour before the dawn,
As I innocently lie,
To greet the morning's new-born day,
Where hope steps up to try!

I love that hour- before the darkness looms,
Where heaven promises a life,

Very different. Often times people see the oncoming of night as a death of sorts (as in speaker 1... When sunset nobly dies, etc.). However, here you say ... Where heaven promises a life. *fingers caressing chin in deep thought*... I will most definitely ponder of this for a great while. Thank you for getting my thinking gears going, as if your poem THE GHOST AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS didn't already do that. :-)
