Her wings are too sore,
from the break before,
to fly.
Her heart will not soar,
from her cages door
and try.
She might fall once more,
upon heartache's floor,
and cry.
Lovebird in the sky
begs her to defy
her fears.
Come with him and fly
and leave winter's sky
of tears.
Lover's lullaby,
such a lonesome cry,
she hears.
Lovebird's lonely tears
wash her heart's dark fears
with light.
He removes her spears
and pain disappears
tonight.
Gentle heart adheres,
and love's wing appears,
in flight.
