There once was a fair maiden who had bright shiny eyes. She lived in a land far far away called Ignus Fatuus. Her home was big and airy, and full of windows to see the lovely outside. She loved to be outside! She used to go outdoors all the time. Then, for no apparent reason, her home began to collect a lot of dust. She spent a lot of time indoors for awhile to try and get on top of it. Only, what she didnt know was that there was an evil warlock that had cast a spell on her home. It became more and more dirty the despite her continued efforts to clean it. As she was occupied indoors, the weeds eventually grew up around the house and covered over window by window and even closed up the doors so she could not open them if she tried. One day, needing a breath of fresh air decided to take a break. It wasn't until then that she realized she was trapped. She tugged and pulled at the windows. She tried with all her might to open the door. It was to no avail, she was captive in her home. The home cursed with a spell of uncleanliness.
She slumped against the wall as she realized what had happened. The weeds had grown in and around her home without her even realizing it. According to legend, our dear sweet bright eyed maiden donned the saddest eyes anyone had ever seen until then or since. She had always depended on the outside to uplift her spirits and without it, she would slowly and surely die inside. She tried in vain but could see the outside no longer. She searched and searched for a way to see the outside. Finally, one day while crying in the attic, she saw a shadow. She followed the beam of light to a small window with a black velvet curtain hanging on it, blocking the sun from getting in. The window was high enough that the weeds had not been covered over yet.
She pulled up a chair and looked outside and sighed. The window seemed a bit stiff, but with a little work and elbow greese, it finally opened. The whif of fresh air she got was so invigorating. She then tried to figure out just how she was going to get out. The window was much too small for her to fit thru, but it did let her see out. She stared and searched for solutions to hear dilema, her eyes peeled for any clue she could find. After awhile, she spied a knight, in rusty armor, and she called from the window. Please, she begged, please help me!! I need you to cut the vine down for me! The knight reluctantly agreed, as he was old and tired, just like his armor. The rusty knight cut just enough away from the door only so it could be opened. The fair maiden called from the window, asking him to wait, she was going to come down, and open the door for him, and invite him in. NO Thanks, was his reply, I need to get home and rest. Good Bye my sweet lady, I am gone. And so he was.
She made her way to the door, only, by the time she made it there.... the vines had overgrown the door once more. She found herself a prisoner yet again. She became even more downhearted. The sad eyed maiden was becoming known as Sad Eyes by all the kingdom. Nobody dared to come and help her for fear of the warlock's wrath. They all pitied her in silence, refusing to lend a hand. After a brief cry, she mustered up some hope and ran back to the window in the attic, and waited. It seemed like days before she saw another knight. This one was dark, and his armor was black. She called out to the dark knight. Please, please Mr.Dark Knight. I need your help! The dark knight didnt want to be bothered at first, but then saw the lady in the window. His head filled with ideas and thoughts of repayment, so he began to hack away at the vines. He cleared the door just enough to open it, and SadEyz pleaded with him to do more. Oh no, he thought, I only need to get you out... or... he thought for a second... get me in! (To Be Continued...)
