(This story is taken from my book 'Stralit Legends' this chapter is mainly about Leona the Leo and Deigo, it takes place in the clan Sagittarius and Leona is about to meet Deigo, but Deigo has a secret a deep dark secret.)
Leona is racing down the streets of the beautiful city, she quickly looks around a corner then runs downit, "Ataru is so going to kill me! I've been late all week!" Suddenly she crashes falling head over heels. "Ay gah!" She squeals.
"Man what hit me?"
"Something big a stupid." Leona groaned sitting up facing a handsome young man with shirt black hair and bright green eyes, "Hi..." Leona blushed.
"Hi..." He blushed.
"I sorry bump into...you..."
"It's okay really." He helps her up, "My name is Deigo, you must be Leona you're one of the strongest our Princess was looking for right?"
Leona nodded, "Leona the Leo! Master of the Golden Claw and fire magic. It's very very very very nice to meet you Deigo."
"Are you busy maybe you'd like to join me for lunch?"
Leona thought about what Ataru would do "LEONA I'M GOING TO SHOOT YOU WITH EVERY ARROW I HAVE IF YOU'RE LATE AGAIN!"
"Well I won't be late if I'm not there." She thought, "Sure! Lunch sounds great!"
Deigo smiled, "Really? Okay then let's go."
Watching from her crystal ball an old witch sees Deigo and Leona walking amr in arm, "So he's found her at last, nows my chance to take revenge!"
"So Deigo where do you live at?" Leona asked as they walked along on a hill over looking the town.
"See over there?"
"That dark scarey part of the forest?"
Deigo nodded, "I live there with this old lady who takes care of me I..."
Leona looked at Deigo, "Deigo what's wrong?"
Deigo's eyes glowed red and he suddenly grabbed Leona around the throat, "Deigo! What's going on with you!"
Deigo slunf her halfway across the feild, Leona stood up coughing, "Hey dude what's your problem?"
"Destory the Leonian!"
Leona just sat there, "Deigo...I thought you were my friend..." She stood up, "Leo Fire Jolt!" She shot a small spark of fire from her clwas that hit Deigo senidng him flying into the air landing on his back, "Be grateful I went easy on you! Call me!" She jumped away back down the hill. "I wonder what came over him."
Later when Deigo returned to his home, "Deigo you failed me." The old witch croaked.
"I'm sorry mother Cranea, it won't happen again."
"You like that girl."
Deigo gasped, "Why would I? Besides she porbably hates me now."
"You still have to kill her, remember our promise. You kill the strongest of the Leonian's and you get to keep this form."
Deigo felt his chest and nodded, "If it's the only way...forgive me Leona..."
That night while Leona was asleep in her bed something creeped in from the window, Leona snored loudly as drool dribbled from the corner of her mouth suddenly something jumped on the top of her wrappingher up in her own blankets then jumping back out the window with her. "Hey! Hey! Let me out this instant! There'll be hell to pay! Do not invoke my wrath!" Leona shouted she was dropped on the ground landing on her head, "It's always the head!" She gasps to see and old creepy lady, "Who are you?"
"I am lady Cranea, you've met my young ward Deigo."
Leonagasped and looked up at deigo shacking her head, Deigo's eyes were glowing red again, "Deigo...?"
"I've been using him ot get to you, you see child your people tourted ours for years."
Leona gulped, "I'm sorry for that...but sometimes you have to let things go..."
The old lady wrapped her fingers around Leon'a throat, "Don't toy with me Leonian!" She dropped Leona then started mixing a powder, "You bette rmove Deigo."
Deigo stepped backwards out of the way, the old lady put a circle of powder around Leona then stomped her foot a large ring of blue fire appearing. Leona began to cougha nd choke, "HELP ME! DEIGO!" She screamed in pain as tears rolled downher cheeks. Deigo's eyes suddenly turned normal, "What have I done? Leona!" He shouted running threw the blue flames he knelt down cobering Leona, suddenly his outsides started melting away reveiling something else. He jumpe dout of the flames setting the house a fire the old lady was crushed by a beam but he and Leona escaped.
He laid her under the pale moon light gentelly rubbing her face. Leona opened her eyes, "Deigo..."
Deigo was now covered in a sandy blonde fur his black hair was long and tangled he had sharp pointed canines and a long wolf like tail he had claws for fingernails as well Drigo stood up and hid in the shadows, "Don't look at me..."
Leona stood up slowly and walke dover to him grabbinghis hand an dpullinghim out, "Why? What are you so ashamed of?"
"Look at me Leona...I'm a FREAK...I've been like this since I was born."
"Then why did you go to that witch?"
"She could help me, everyone else abandonded me! But the price I couldn't pay."
"What was it?"
Deigo ran his fingers threw her short hair, "You."
"Oh Deigo!" Leona wrapped her arms around him rubbing her face in his furry chest, "I don't care what you look like...I won't abandon you Deigo..."
Deigo felt something inside his heart he hugged leona and a tear rolled down his cheek, "Thank you Leona."
"Deigo..." Leona sighed.
