Darkened World

by Regina S.

Age Rating: 10 +

Hungry for kindness,
thirsty for love.
No ground below me,
no stars up above.

A world covered in darkness,
in black, infinite space,
light is unheard of
in this frozen place.

Here tears fall freely,
but soon turn to ice.
If you once knew joy,
you must pay the price.

Shadows don't live here,
they all ran away.
The night is too dark,
and there is no day.

Enjoy every minute,
for your life is well,
cause seconds are centuries
in this eternal hell.
