Father
by Jack Curson (Age: 32)
copyright 09-18-2003

Age Rating: 7 to 127

My heart has begun to bloom.
Reaching out towards your love, basking in
the joy you give me Father.
Closer and closer my heart grows with each
passing day.

Faith has not always been this easy,
Struggling to survive at times
And even harder not to at most.
Love is such a fragile part of
the process of growing with you.

I see all around me hearts wilting, hoping
they will strive to grow with you but alas,
they stumble down their chosen path, living
to die, only to rise again to be in the
comfort of your love.

My heart has begun to bloom, praying you
forgive these souls that choose the path of
inconsistency, and may my soul also be
forgiven; because I know I am a sinner and I
too have walked an unsteady path.

But I will grow with You and Your Love,
hoping Lord that you in turn will help with
this process to steady my faith, be a better
person because, Father,
My heart has begun to bloom.

Thanks Jack,

Every time I read one of your poems it inspires me to be a better person. There will never be a perfect one of either.
I can only inspire to do better every day and hope that someday it makes a difference to someone.

Technically, you are as good as ever. I can find no crits'.

This was even better the second time I read it. We all should strive to live the life that God intended, but we don't work at it hard enough. We slip to easily. Thank God that he is forgiving of our sins! Thanks, Anthony
