That Lonely Feeling
by Jackie Edwards (Age: 20)
copyright 11-26-2003

Age Rating: 13 to 127

That Lonely Feeling
As I walk alongside the road,
I feel like I'm all alone...
This world has turned its back on me,
No one ever really sees me...
Now I'm getting that lonely feeling,
It's creeping around my heart...
Making me be torn apart,
by loneliness...
They say that no man's an island,
but I feel that I could go take a spin...
I'm all alone...
Nobody cares,
nobody listens to what I have to say...
Now I'm getting that lonely feeling,
It's creeping around my heart,
Making me be torn apart,
by loneliness...
When you see someone like me,
Go over and be friendly,
'Cause you'll never find me,
I've left this world,
This cruel, icy, selfish world,
Alone...
I'm walking down this cold, empty highway,
'Neath the ramps and the byways,
Searching for somebody who cares,
Someone who'll notice I'm there...
Now I'm getting that lonely feeling,
It's creeping around my heart,
Making me be torn apart,
by loneliness...
I feel so alone...Won't you help me?

As in all good literature, you touch the reader where he lives. You are not the only one... we all feel alone.
