Broken Ends
by Beverley McInnis
copyright 08-19-2001

Age Rating: 18 to 127

colours dripping off platonic walls
falling in shiftless pools called love
intermixed with feelings of doubt
of hurt
of empty, painful love

black and white never mix
to create a perfect flat grey
latex gloss painted over all
shiny and so cheap

words that flowed through the brain
grey matter painted red
colours mixing, never same
flatness persona crying
screaming out in anguish pain

symphonies playing off-key
never knowing joyous harmony
colours dripping
blood flows down
tears they start
tears they found

I have cried a million tears
I have screamed a million fears
colours dripping
never mixing
platonic blue tears that flow
down the open torn flesh wounds
of my
empty
soul

Thank you Robert and John. Actually it's an older poem that I re-wrote. And John, can I still have a hug even if I didn't really need it? :0)

Aw this is so sad Bev! I wanna hug ya! But hey! I know it is only writing, well written, Bev, you have a colourful imagination that always paints a good picture with your words.
