Mr. Makebelieve
by Jack Curson (Age: 32)
copyright 09-28-2003

Age Rating: 7 to 127

In this world of troubles, a woman throws away her love in a rage of confusion.
Not knowing what will happen when she throws these words away...

"You mean more to me then life itself. I don't think any other could help me feel the way I do about you. In time my feelings will only grow stronger. I will love you forever, immortally. You are the sunshine, water, breath and heart of my life. Everything you do or say brightens my world. Hell, just being you, loving me, makes my days and nights better. I don't think my life will ever be the same without you. You mean the universe to me. Your eyes, your lips, your hair, and the way you look at me, your warmth, caring and personality I could never live without. You’re my everything! I am devotedly yours with all my heart, soul, body, spirit and being, forever yours," she said all this.

Only to turn and throw the key away, but the key is only misplaced somewhere, in this huge heart of such a wonderful person.
Knowing she could have him back at anytime, she uses it to her advantage.
Not thinking to clearly of the feelings of the distraught lover on the other side.
She is cared and loved by this guy, and now that is all he is.
Mr. Make-believe you could say is a fairytale that won't end. At the moment she has just put the book down for a rest from the love she feels for Mr. Make-believe.
If you were to look at him you could never tell he is breaking down inside, hides it with such a wonderful strength.
It must be true when they say you miss a person more when they are gone.
The love is still there, but how much has it changed or has it really at all?
Maybe it was just loneliness; it's all up to Mr. Make-believe.
What will happen when her true love comes home?

We tend to dream of Mr./Mrs. make believe to help us to feel better about ourselves. If he/she likes me and he/she is perfect, then I must also be perfect. It seems silly, but in the end we want to be perfect ourselves. Alas we are only human and have many flaws. This should make most think, but they still won't understand. Its the lead them to water thing. Thanks for your thoughts, Anthony
