Courage
by Gregory Christiano (Age: 61)
copyright 09-25-2003

Age Rating: 7 to 127

Throw all terror off
Slight the scorner,
Scorn the scoff!

Glory's true distinction lies
Upon your nerve
Not the prize!

Triumph over the meanest things,
Common robbers,
Vilest Kings!

Scout out the generous and good,
Struggle onward
To brotherhood!

Planting peacefully the seeds
To brighten hope
And better deeds!

Take courage to its highest sight,
To reign supreme
In the realms of light!

[Courage doesn't always need a witness!]

This is nearly religious, or is it nearly not. Either way, there's a way with words you've got!!!

I can see, in this poem, a Philospher at work.
Just perfect
