Gone is your spirit, stripped like flesh from bone,
on and on, your lost corpse travels alone.
Stare into your brown eyes and find no one there.
Bear this silence of your dishearted glare.
Dry is that corner of your copper eye.
Why is it your heart can no longer cry?
Trace my finger across your mirrored face,
place my hand over your heart's empty space.
You have abandoned a heart that was true.
Threw away rainbows for shades of blue.
Tell me when you hit this bottomless well,
fell into these ebony pits of hell.
Speak of days before you grew tired and weak,
leak your secrets from your eyes that peek,
back through my mirorred heart's permanent crack.
Lack of hope creates reflections of black.
